Well my friends, I can confirm that we are now just weeks away from getting “Wicked Fresh Maine Lobster” in Stamford! Construction is well underway on Harbor Point’s Boothbay Lobster Company, and it’s estimated that the ‘fast-casual’ seafood restaurant will open end of May/early June. That said, just last week I was able to get an exclusive first look. And, well, from what I can tell, it’s going to be wicked awesome!
Amongst the buzzsaws and hammers, we walked through the estimated 2800 square foot space while the team painted a picture of what it will look like, their menu, and their commitment to a quality product.
The concept is simple; fresh, quality seafood in a fine-casual setting. Every ingredient is fresh, sustainable, and traceable, making for a traditional Maine seafood experience. So, how will they do this? Simple. They’ve got an FDA-licensed commissary kitchen on the Maine Wharf in Portland. Through a quick and cold distribution process, they will then transport the product to the Stamford restaurant. Yes, you read that right – fresh, Maine seafood delivered to Stamford, daily!
