STAMFORD, CT — An “innovative and community-centric” fitness center has opened in Stamford, offering classes in barre, yoga, indoor cycling, cross training and more. The new center, mActivity, opened its doors at 150 Washington Boulevard on Dec. 15, 2019.
According to an announcement from Building and Land Technology (BLT), mActivity is designed as a community hub for physical, social and emotional well-being. The location has already seen “exponential membership growth” since opening in Harbor Point last month.
In addition to a variety of classes, mActivity also offers science-based private training sessions and promises an uplifting and non-intimidating atmosphere.
“Our goal is always to connect and listen to the community and staff to ensure we’re adapting and providing dynamic exercise experiences,” Co-Founder Pablo Perez said in a statement. “We’ve been flattered by the positive reception from the Stamford community, which only further fuels our drive to make sure we’re always reinvesting in the facility and constantly improving our services and culture to maintain an atmosphere of connectivity.”
Personal training, private yoga, barre and stretching sessions with certified professionals are also available to help clients improve movement quality and reach optimal levels of physical performance.
Additionally, mActivity offers WellBeats Virtual classes for indoor cycling and group fitness to cater to individual schedules.
“mActivity’s unique culture and innovative approach to physical health seamlessly integrates with BLT’s commitment of providing the best in-class services for our community,” BLT Co-President Ted Ferrarone said in a statement. “We’re excited by their enthusiasm for the area, as well as their proven track record for delivering an inspirational and results-driven fitness experience.”
To further underscore its commitment to the community, mActivity offers space for members to socialize and work remotely, and it has begun planning to feature local artwork from the Stamford area.
