It’s Happening in Harbor Point

June 8, 2016

I started this post with a goal of simply sharing Harbor Point’s exciting list of summer events and activities. But, if we can, let’s just get real about Harbor Point for a second.

It just blows my mind to think about how far this area has actually come. I’m just being completely honest here, but growing up in Stamford, the South End was not a hub for nightlife or social activities. It was undoubtedly a great community with a special history to it, but not necessarily a destination for nightlife. It’s been very cool to see the transformation of this area. It has evolved into a beautiful and active waterfront community.

Harbor Point is home to more than 2,360 luxury residential apartments in nine buildings that range from historic lofts, to waterfront high rise residences. The residential experience in Harbor Point offers abundant amenities such as shuttle service, concierge, pool decks with grills and fire pits, fitness centers, roof top lounges, billiard rooms, club rooms, covered parking and a pet friendly environment. Harbor Point residents are surrounded by acres of beautifully appointed parks, walking paths and waterfront promenades that connect the various communities.

From an eating and drinking standpoint, Harbor Point has grown into a key part of the Stamford social scene with a range of dining and entertainment options. The food scene features numerous restaurants including new additions: Bareburger (more here), Prime (more here), Fortina (more here), and Boothbay Lobster Company (more here), as well as favorites such as Paloma, World of Beer, Sign of the Whale, Crab Shell, Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, Corbo’s Southside Deli, Subway, Robeks Fruit Smoothies, Harlan Social, Asian Bistro, and Le Pain Quotidien. There should be no problem finding your next meal in Harbor Point. In addition, Fortina, World of Beer, Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, Sign of the Whale, and Crab Shell have a full roster of bands and events throughout the summer.
